International projects and networks

Tanec Praha NGO is active in international cooperation and is a partner of several European projects under the EU Creative Europe program. It is also part of several European platforms and international networks, helping to build the reputation of Czech performing art abroad.

It has been actively developing this activity since 1991, when it became of a member of IETM – International network for contemporary performing arts.

Five years later, it co-founded a platform to support young choreographers Aerowaves – dance across Europe.

At the turn of the millennium, it became a partner of the Trans Danse Europe project, which continued successfully in 2003 – 2006.

From 2011 – 2013 it coordinated the M4m – M for mobility project.

In 2015 was admitted to the prestigious EDN – European Dancehouse Network.

In 2018 - 2021 it is implementing together with partners from 15 European countries the Be SpecACTive! project , which follows up on the successful first four years of this project in 2014 – 2018.

Another European project slated for 2019 – 2022 is cooperation between cultural institutions, galleries and museums across Europe: Dancing Museums 2 – The democracy of beings.

 

The director of Tanec Praha is a member of the Czech section of ITI – International Theatre Institute.

We are also founding members of the Czech Festival Association , which joined the UZS (Union of Employers' Associations) and thus membership in Tripartite, and we also collaborate with the professional organization Vize tance and other partners in the area of cultural advocacy.

We are also involved in other projects of international cooperation, such as Czech participation at Tanzmesse Düsseldorf or the cross-border biennale Dancetranzit.
